It\u2019s good to ponder on those things we\u2019re thankful for in our lives. This Saturday I ponder \u00a0&#8220;<strong>Mother&#8217;s Day<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M<\/strong> is for MY Mother. Here she is with Julia this past Christmas. I love this photo!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/homesteademporium.smugmug.com\/photos\/1138316873_fGq9N-M-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"298\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>O<\/strong> is for my other mother, my mother in law. She always takes time to send cards to the kids (and us!) for EVERY\u00a0occasion!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/homesteademporium.smugmug.com\/Other\/Ontario\/i-cJhv5cb\/0\/M\/joan%20%26%20carl-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"338\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>T<\/strong> is for Teagan. Even though my kids are growing up, he&#8217;s staying &#8216;baby&#8217; size, just the way I like it!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/homesteademporium.smugmug.com\/photos\/i-vLtLSbq\/0\/S\/i-vLtLSbq-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>H <\/strong>is for Husband. I&#8217;m so thankful for mine!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"WilliKids by paw5kids, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/paw5kids\/563270770\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1374\/563270770_1678fc1217.jpg\" alt=\"WilliKids\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>E<\/strong> is for Elsa, Elisabeth Grace is her full name.<br \/>\nShe is my most difficult child, and I could complain about that, but instead, I embrace it. Why? Because <strong>SHE<\/strong> truly defines <strong>me<\/strong> <em>as a mother<\/em>. If I do well with her, I can be proud of my mothering. When I fail her, I fail as a mother. She has opened my eyes to so many of my faults at times it causes me to just about crumble. When I embrace it though, it causes me to be strong. I want to be strong,<strong> SHE<\/strong> does that for me.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMGP3647 by paw5kids, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/paw5kids\/2186875464\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2287\/2186875464_b641791384.jpg\" alt=\"IMGP3647\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>R<\/strong> is for reality.<br \/>\nNo matter how much I dream, how much I desire out of this life of mine, the reality is that my life is now. <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>Today<\/strong><\/span>.<br \/>\nWhatever today is, is whatever I make of it.<br \/>\nThe reality is, I&#8217;m ok with that.
