So…<\/strong><\/em> about a month ago I noticed a jump in some numbers, and sales, in my etsy shop.<\/a><\/p>\n

I kind of wondered about it, as I know when this happens it usually means someone, somewhere, it talking.<\/p>\n

So then I pondered for a moment on “I wonder where?”<\/em><\/p>\n

And then as I ponder, usually a child will run in through the door, a dog jumps on my lap, my husband calls, a butterfly flits by or any other more important thing happens, and life carries on.<\/p>\n

Today I just happened upon a post at regretsy.com<\/p>\n

Hee hee.<\/em><\/p>\n

If you’ve been around these parts long enough, and you follow regretsy, you know just what I’m talking about, don’t you?<\/p>\n

Ok, I’ll pause here a moment while you snort, chuckle, or simply laugh out loud.<\/p>\n

*hear the elevator music playing…*<\/em><\/p>\n

“can you hear it?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Have you finished laughing yet? Wipe away those tears now.<\/em><\/p>\n

A year, and a bit ago, April at regretsy.com first introduced one of my products to her<\/em> world, her readers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I opened my email that day to find several emails from concerned and caring customers, alerting me to the fact that one of my products was featured on, *gasp*, regretsy.com<\/p>\n

I looked.<\/em><\/p>\n

And then I laughed.<\/p>\n

And then I CHEERED!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It truly was very very<\/strong><\/em> funny.<\/p>\n

I STILL<\/strong> think it’s funny today.<\/p>\n

And when I had more then my usual traffic yet again, a while back, I really should have clued in and expected that quite possibly there was another ‘introduction’ made, somewhere, some how.<\/p>\n

And sure enough, there was, only this time it was Thong Thung Brown\u00a0revisited.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

So, I looked again.<\/em><\/p>\n

And I laughed, again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s still as funny today, as it was then!<\/p>\n

At that time, over a year ago when the thong was first featured on regretsy.com, quite a few people were very surprised that I was not upset by the whole ordeal. So I posted about it on the blog here:\u00a0http:\/\/homesteademporium.wordpress.com\/2010\/07\/07\/weve-been-featured-on-regretsy\/<\/a><\/p>\n

In reality, there’s nothing to be upset about. As I posted then, I love my craft too much to let a ‘poke of fun’ spoil this love that I have.<\/p>\n

I’m also secure in my talents. I know that particular thong, was an ‘oversight’. Yet, a mistake, that I admit, I may just make again! When I create, I don’t see ‘ugly brown’, I see color, hand crafted color. This particular piece of fabric had been hand dyed by a once very popular diaper maker who I had a lot of respect for, and who’s dye work was very much loved. I miss her work dearly, as do many of my customers.<\/p>\n

Sure, maybe I didn’t make great choices, or a great photo, while creating this particular pad. I really do see what April sees, and what many others obviously see, when she posted about it. However, when creating it, what I saw was a beautiful piece of fabric (there’s actually purples in that dye! You can’t see it in the photo.)<\/em> and a well crafted, finished product.<\/p>\n

And because of that, I was proud of it.<\/p>\n

Even after all that, I am STILL proud of it.<\/p>\n

*snort*<\/em><\/p>\n

Someone who knew me, and feared it may upset me to be featured in such a way on regretsy.com, actually bought the liner even though she admitted she only bought it to feature it as “sold”. However, I could NOT bring myself to sell it after seeing it show cased! So I refunded her, and to this day, it remains a constant reminder to me to laugh at myself.<\/p>\n

\nSo once again, I thank you April Winchell, for reminding me during a particularly difficult time in my life, to stop, look around me, and laugh.<\/em><\/p>\n
