The pretty green\/blue ones belong to the homestead the kids were ‘sitting’. You know, like ‘pet-sitting’, they were ‘homestead-sitting’.<\/p>\n

The rest of the eggs are ours though. The brown ones are from our regular brown hens.<\/p>\n

The great big ones are from our ducks.<\/p>\n
See that teeny tiny brown egg? I’m quite sure that must have come from one of our older hens. We’ve had one of those before, and they hold no yolk, just egg white.<\/p>\n
Pretty interesting, isn’t it?<\/p>\n
I thought so too!<\/p>\n
My hope is to one day have a whole variety of hens, so we can have a wide variety of eggs.<\/p>\n
