I’ve mentioned a few times recently on the Homestead Emporium Facebook page<\/a> that
\nwe’ve been making, and taking, Elderberry Syrup and many have asked
\nhow to make it, so I thought I’d share again on the blog, just how simple
\nit is!<\/p>\n

I first tried elderberry in lozenge form after reading about how it
\ncan aid in boosting the immunity, and overall health over a year and a half ago when I was really sick and tired of being sick & tired. I found some on sale at well.ca and thought I’d give it a try. I\u00a0REALLY wanted to buy elderberry syrup, but the price was just way<\/span>
\ntoo high for our ‘large’ family. With the small size of the\u00a0bottles, we’d be going through one every day or two! Then I met\u00a0<\/span>Delia, from <\/span>Delia’s Pantry<\/a>! She let me know that she had Elderberries in her shop,\u00a0<\/span>Delia’s Pantry. I’ve been ordering elderberries from Delia since, and I haven’t caught a single cold since either, not even a one! A few times when others around me were sick with a cold, I felt one trying to start, but any symptoms would go away within 24 hours, tops.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nTo make my syrup, I use the recipe\u00a0found at <\/span>wellnessmama.com<\/a>\"20130315-104124.jpg\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s as easy as putting\u00a0<\/span>all your ingredients, minus the honey into a pot. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bring it to a\u00a0<\/span>boil, simmer for a while, and strain… <\/span>\"20130315-104157.jpg\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Add in your honey once it’s cooled down.<\/span><\/p>\n

And you have GLORIOUS\u00a0<\/span>Elderberry Syrup! <\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It really is, that simple!<\/span>
