No cat I&#8217;ve ever had will sit where I want it to, stay as long as I want it to, and get all excited, wag it&#8217;s tail and give me kisses every time I step away for five minutes and come back again.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/homesteademporium.smugmug.com\/Homelife\/Apples\/DSC9383\/1042619615_sxM2Y-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If I were to let my cat up while I type, forget about my lap, she&#8217;d want to sit right on the top of the entire keyboard. There&#8217;s no way she&#8217;d lay nicely on my lap while I work on the keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>A quick browse for the name &#8220;Patches&#8221; (our house cat&#8217;s name) through my photo gallery on flickr reminds me of how true that really is!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2013\/2239529211_dd56908ca2_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My husband, he has more patience then I, apparently.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, he doesn&#8217;t do a whole lot of typing either&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And who, tell me WHO, could resist these absolutely adoring puppy dog eyes and not feel their heart melt at least a little bit?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/homesteademporium.smugmug.com\/Homelife\/Teagans-1st-day\/DSC9167\/1043315717_5MZUx-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s no contest.
