The other day as I sat sewing at my machines, I kept hearing them.

Over and over and over…

I’d step outside, look around…

Nothing.

Go back in and sew, and then hear them again.

Then I was at my computer desk working. I kept hearing them again!

Taunting me!

THEY WOULD NOT STOP!

Yet… every time I’d step outside, I could not find them!

Then… finally!

I was out in the cabin/studio, sewing again, and again, I heard them. The incessant taunting started once again.

But this time…

I caught them! On camera!

At first, this is all I saw.

Can you see him?

Then Elsa said she could see two! Sure enough, there they both were.

Click below to hear what these type of eagles sound like. Ours are MUCH chattier though. They go on and on and on. Not sure what they are talking about but it must be pretty darn interesting!

Eagles

Today while I was working at the computer all morning (and chit chatting with many of you on facebook!) they were at it again. Only this time, they kept flying right by my window!

Each time I would GRAB my camera as fast as I could, almost knocking over my chair each time in the process! Shaylah would run and open the door while I would run out to try and snap a photo.

Each time, once again, they would simply taunt me. The best I could get of one of them in flight was this.

My goal is to outdo the photos I have of one at the ocean a couple of years ago, with my old pentax camera and lens.

I NEED the perfect shot of one of these birds!

I like all these, but know I can get better.

The above photo has a mating pair in the photo. I need to see something like this again with my current camera/lens. Yet, they continue to simply taunt me with the possibility of the perfect photo instead of posing once again for me like they did so long ago.

*Don’t forget to enter in our latest contest here: http://homesteademporium.wordpress.com/2010/11/19/a-give-away-from-rhineland-farm-homestead-emporium/

The other day as I sat sewing at my machines, I kept hearing them.
