It’s Sunday, already, again!
This week has gone by so fast, yet it felt like for.ever. over the past seven days.
This Sunday, I am very thankful for many things.
First, I am thankful that I was able to get up, get the kids up, have ALL five home with me so we could go to church together.
Our church is very casual (although I do love to wear my skirts and dress up a little, so I always do), even the preaching is very casual. Today our pastor spoke on “peace”. How fitting! This is something I’ve been praying for each and every day this past week.
Peace.
He also spoke on finding peace each day this week, it’s our home work. This is something that I actually do quite well for the most part. I am not one who struggles with stopping life to smell the roses. But this past week, I’ve been rushing past the roses and forgetting to do just that.
If you ever browse through some of my work photos on my photo cards you’ll see that often, I really do stop to smell the ROSES, as you can find a photo here and there of just that, a rose that I happened upon while I walked from the house to the studio to snap product photos. Or possibly a photo of an eagle that flew overhead as I snapped product photos. Or a photo of a sudden downpour that started in the midst of sewing.
I love that about me. That I can stop everything, in an instant, and enjoy whatever bit of peace life is offering me, right here, right now.
Mind you, sometimes those around me may disagree as I interrupt conversations, thoughts, etc. with my occasional bursts of, “LOOK!” or “Come check this out!” So I am learning to try and ‘curb’ those bursts of energy and enthusiasm… but I won’t give them up all together. hee hee.
Anywho, all that to say, this Sunday I am so very grateful.
My husband has put in well over a full week’s worth of work into his new job, in less then a week. He’s loving it, and I am LOVING that he’s happy. This has been a very long time coming, and it feels good knowing he is finally where he should be, in a position that’s absolutely perfect for him.
He’s been doing fine living in the 5th wheel our good friends are letting us use.
There is so much more I’m thankful for today but work is calling and my lunch is done, it’s time to get back at it!

Today I am thankful for a lovely picnic with my boys out in the park. Something we just don’t do often enough.
Also thankful that my best friend got the birth she wanted. Her beautiful daughter arrived today! A wonderful VBAC water birth at 42w 6d. thankful she trusted her body and had a provider who did as well!
I am thankful for my family, our health, and the friends that I have in my life, both near and far. This inspires me, and it is the fuel that drives me forward. <3
I’m thankful for the time that I have with my little family. Next week at this time we will be sending our oldest son to live with my parents so that we can focus our attention (ant $$) on getting our youngest ready for his surgeries. It was a hard decision but we know this is something we have to do, as much as its killing me inside. So every morning I wake up with my little big man, every meal time, every time we play nintendo, feel his stinky, muddy feet being tucked under my back so ‘get warm’, read a book, play pirates or cook together, is a thankful blessing by me.
I’m thankful for my husband, that he is home with me now. Also that we are moving to be closer to family and friends the end of the month and that our good friend is offering her trailer for us to live in to help us get on our feet again! God is so good! Also, that He is helping me to find peace in the midst of the busyness.
