I really enjoy our church. The messages shared each week are so down to earth, so real.
In January, we missed church every week but the last Sunday of the month. When I’m there, I always wish I never missed a Sunday at all.

But Sunday isn’t the only day I hear a “good word”.

The other night was gorgeous out. Clear sky, bright moon.
However, there were hardly any stars to be seen.

I remembered that in the fall, I had read about a meteor shower that was going to be taking place, but in our area it was said we most likely would not be able to see it, because the moon would be too bright that night.

Isn’t that funny, almost an oxymoron? The moon would be shining too bright, to see the stars out that night?

As I looked up at that clear sky, I pondered this.

The moon was too bright, to see the stars that night.

You can choose to believe or disbelieve, agree or disagree with what I’m sharing, but I’m simply sharing. Nothing more, nothing less. These are my thoughts.

As I pondered this, I heard God’s soft voice whisper to me.

When I say I heard His voice whisper, it’s not really an ‘audible’ whisper. The best way I’ve found to describe what it’s like when He speaks to me, is that it’s like an instant download of understanding. An understanding that I don’t have on my own, an understanding that I’m not capable of, except when it’s God speaking to me. An understanding that suddenly takes away confusion, and makes things clear.

I heard Him share with me, that just as the stars are still in the sky, even when I can not see them, so too is our future still before us, even when it is out of our view.

And just as those stars I can not see, are still as bright as ever, so too, is our future as bright as ever.

The day to day we see right now, often seems never ending, sometimes even a bit hopeless, and lonely with Graydon (hubby) so far away, us living life here, without him near.

Husband & wife, each alone in our own separate beds each night.

However, just as the stars are in the sky even when I can not see them,
our future IS being mapped out, day by day, even when I can not see it.

One day, hopefully soon, that will all change. We will catch a glimpse of our future.

One of the best safeguards of our hopes, I have suggested, is to be able to mark off the areas of hopelessness and to acknowledge them, to face them directly, not with despair but with the creative intent of keeping them from polluting all the areas of possibility.
