Today as I was going through my facebook feed, I saw this absolutely breathtaking ‘video’.

Country Magazine had it posted on their facebook page, and said this about the video:
What you see is real, but you can’t see it this way with the naked eye. It is the result of thousands of 20-30 second exposures, edited together to produce this amazing timelapse, allowing you to see the Milky Way, aurora in graceful motion. Enjoy!

This is a truly remarkable video. Simply amazing. Beautiful! The wonderful world we live in and all of it’s universal surroundings NEVER ceases to amaze me!

The video immediately brought a recent post to mind. Here is an abbreviated version from that post:

The other night was gorgeous out. Clear sky, bright moon.
However, there were hardly any stars to be seen.

I remembered that in the fall, I had read about a meteor shower that was going to be taking place, but in our area it was said we most likely would not be able to see it, because the moon would be too bright that night.

Isn’t that funny, almost an oxymoron? The moon would be shining too bright, to see the stars out that night?

As I looked up at that clear sky, I pondered this.

The moon was too bright, to see the stars that night.

As I pondered this, I heard God’s soft voice whisper to me, that just as the stars are still in the sky, even when I can not see them, so too is our future still before us, even when it is out of our view.

And just as those stars I can not see, are still as bright as ever, so too, is our future as bright as ever.

The video above reminded me just how deeply this is true. ALL the happenings of the universe which we often do not see, are still happening! Just because we do not see them, does that mean they are not there?

Just as we can NOT see our future, it does not mean that our future is any less.
Our family has been going through some real heavy trials recently, trials I can not share.

However, I can share that through these trials we are seeing some of the reasons why possibly we have had to wait ALL this time. There is always a greater purpose to each and every day then just that one small ‘glimpse’ of time.

This knowledge is what has motivated us all along. Knowing, that even as we can not see the future, we can rest in knowing that we are not in total control of it. We are only in control of doing the very best that we possibly can each and every day, and trusting that everything else around us shall fall into place, often despite our own mistakes.

And most days, that knowledge is enough to get us through.

Tomorrow, is a very big day for this family, a first step in possible more steps to come. I want to say it has nothing to do with our move, yet the reality is, it most likely does.  Everything in our lives is intertwined. Each is a small step which leads to the greater end.

So as we take this next step, I ask for your prayers and support. Prayers for wisdom, strength, and peace. It is truly appreciated.

One day, I’ll be able to share more. I really can’t wait. I don’t do well with ‘secrets’, especially good ones, but I must sit on my fingers, hold my tongue, and wait to share some other time.
