I’m enjoying a moment of silence.
I’ve been feeling a tad overwhelmed. There’s a TON to do around here and with the eldest two working all the time, and making time for friends and fun before we leave the Island, I find myself with way too much to do and way too little time to do it in. Yet at the same time, with each thing I cross off my ever growing list, I feel a sense of accomplishment, and excitement that we’re getting closer.
I just need a cloning device for the next couple of weeks.
I really can NOT wait for hubby to get here. 10 days, 2 hours, and 13 minutes.
But who’s counting right? He has had no internet since the 15th, and won’t have any until Thursday. It’s made things a little different, but we’ve still kept in touch via text, and phone calls. We’re not looking forward to THAT bill. Eek.
But it’s been needed, lots of details to get sorted out with getting things ready in hopes of renting out this property, and details that need to be put into place before we go. I hope I can make it through the next 10 days until he gets here, and then I feel like it will be a little easier to get through the rest of the days until we actually GO!
Right now though, I’m stopping for a moment to have a cup of coffee, in silence.
Well… silence except for the two chattering budgies in the room and the 2.5 pound doggie snoring on my lap.
The three youngest girls are away for 3 nights at my parents house. This is their last stay over before we go. Everything about moving is so bittersweet. We’re SO excited to finally be going, getting on with the next chapter and FINALLY being done with this one, yet there’s lots to say goodbye to as well. It’s one thing to be getting ready to move, it’s another when you finally know you ARE moving, and the date is approaching FAST!
But it isn’t really goodbye is it? It’s “See you later!”
There’s lots I shall miss.
We’ve had a lot of fun times on this Island. Beauty surrounds us EVERY which way we turn.
From our favorite private beach area where we’ve found all kinds of treasures over the years…
To the creeks we’ve found hiding within forests we’ve explored.
We love adventure, exploring, wandering, simply enjoying all God has created.
That won’t stop on the prairies though. We’ve already found many places we want to see, to explore.
I’ve never lived on the prairies! I’ve lived in the Netherlands, a few places in Alberta, several places in British Columbia, spent seven years in Ontario, but never the prairies. It really will be quite different.
We surely WILL miss the ocean, how could you not?!
But there will be new discoveries, new explorations, and we look ahead to it all with excitement.
