This area has MANY bird species of all kinds. I look forward to spending many years capturing photos of as many as I possibly can!
Do you like to bird watch? What’s your favorites? Have any photos you’d like to share with us?

Name that feathered friend.

I spent an hour with my camera outside last night, in my backyard.
As I stood there looking through the camera lens, scanning all around me in search of the next shot, I would constantly pause and listen to the hustle and bustle of busyness all around me.

New puppy on the Homestead & more on Saskatchewan.
As we’ve been discovering, even the flat ‘barren’ land in these parts isn’t so ‘barren’ after all!

Prairie… paradise…?
Prairie… paradise…? Is this really all that we hoped for?

I have to admit…
I have to admit, I have some fears about moving to the prairies!
I love adventure, and I’m actually a tomboy at heart, so these silly fears create a sort of battle within me. It’s a constant fight between fun and adventure vs. being cautious and worried.

A moment of silence.
I’m enjoying a moment of silence.
I’ve been feeling a tad overwhelmed. There’s a TON to do around here and with the eldest two working all the time, and making time for friends and fun before we leave the Island, I find myself with way too much to do and way too little time to do it in. Yet at the same time, with each thing I cross off my ever growing list, I feel a sense of accomplishment, and excitement that we’re getting closer.
I just need a cloning device for the next couple of weeks.

Continuation of our moving situation.
Now that we’ve taken the house off the market, EVERYONE wants our property. I’ve been in contact with a family who wants to lease it, since the day we decided to go that route instead of selling, and since then I’ve had people act DESPERATE for our property.

About ready to burst I think!
Lately, I have moments where I have to stop myself and wonder how it is that I haven’t burst yet!
There’s been SO much happening in the lives of our family lately. I wasn’t able to share any of it for quite a while but now I can begin to share a little. One thing at a time.
