Saskatchewan, land of the living skies.
That’s the tagline on the licence plates of Saskatchewan, and it’s true.
I don’t believe there is any other place where you can see the sunset 360 degrees around you, the same way as you see it on the Saskatchewan Prairies. Perhaps on a mountain top, but that wouldn’t be the ideal place for a homestead.
I snapped the photo above from our road. On the other side of the road, this was taking place, with an almost equally beautiful sky.
I absolutely love living in farm country. The scenery around us is constantly changing. Pair that with the 360 degree sunsets almost every night, and then the fairly regular spotting of the Northern Lights, and you have continual beauty all around you.
