Our new stock is up and previewing!
We’ve used up most of the ‘Easter/Spring’ fabrics for this week’s stocking. You’ll see some repeats of previous favorites, and some new.
We have a NEW product this week! Super Soaker PM Nursing Pads!
I’m very excited to introduce this new product and I hope it becomes a blessing for those with a heavy milk flow, at night. These may also be used during the day, but they were created especially with night time needs in mind. While nursing my own children (108 months combined over five children!) I experienced heavy let down at night, especially with our twins. If they would sleep longer then usual, or we went through growth spurts where my supply was trying to speed up the demand etc., I’d wake up at night completely soaked. Sometimes I’d wrap myself in a towel, or wear a bra with homemade nursing pads. At that time I did not have the wonders of waterproof fabrics though, except by cutting up a pair of baby rubber pants. I used those nursing pads for years!
Now, years later, I have the ability to create the nursing pads I always wanted when I was nursing my own children, and I can share them with you. 🙂
Here they are, Homestead Emporium’s Super Soaker PM Nursing Pads
Backed in high quality waterproof fleece with beautiful hand dyed bamboo velour color

And, backed in gorgeous natural wool with natural, with organic bamboo velour

We hope you love these nursing pads as much as we do.
This week is a great time to stock up on Post Partum pads.
We’ve got lots of Heavy wrap Wing pads, backed with PUL, keeping these pads very absorbent, yet very trim and comfortable!

We have another rainbow of Post Partum pads, including these lovelies.

There’s more Ultimate Pads in gorgeous colors

Ultimate II’s

UltiMini’s (these have fast become a best seller here at Homestead Emporium! Not just for post partum, but for those who prefer great coverage, yet a trim and very comfortable pad.)

Our Ultimate Heavy Flow Pads in Claret

And, if you’re wanting good protection for while you’re out and about but you’re concerned about wearing a large pad and would like something more discreet, try our medium wrap wing pad with PUL backing.

I have had customers share that they ‘fear’ PUL backing because they have heard it can slip around.
If you wear well fitting undies (not tight, but snug), our PUL pads are so trim and comfortable, they will become one of your favorites for when you are out and about and want to wear slim fitting jeans etc..
Most customers who give the PUL pads a try, quickly find themselves buying more because they love them so much.
So don’t fear them, try them and see for yourself! The medium wrap wing pads are suitable for a regular flow when changing as per usual, and even for a heavy flow if you’re going to the bathroom fairly regularly. The absorbency is adequate to keep you well covered. They also snap up nice into a little ‘square’ for keeping in your purse. Our purse sized wetbags come in handy for the soiled pads. We hope to have more of them instock soon.
This week, we also have some more gorgeous swirl dyed pads.
Check out this set of Four Ultimate style Pads.

Pam from The Indigo Onion does such a fabulous job with her swirl dyes!

Tiny Liners

You may have noticed something about one of our products, our cotton balls.
Each cotton ball set is numbered, with a letter, and then a number. If you’ve ever wondered why that is, there’s a good reason for it.
Our three youngest daughters create these cotton balls as shared in the listing information. One daughters initial is E, she’s 11 y ears old, then the next two are twins and their initials are S & J, they are 9.5 years old. The numbers and initials co-ordinate with who made which set. You’ll probably see J more often for one simple reason. J has her very own pony, and she helps with all the pony ‘bills’. This was the agreement she made with the rescue when she first decided she wanted to give her sweet pony a home. At first she was knitting snakes but soon found we have a much larger supply of pretty velour scraps around here then pretty yarn! So she spends the majority of her ‘work’ time cutting these scraps into the cotton balls. She still knits snakes as well, and I hope to have some of them listed again soon. She’s had her pony for just about two years now, and has remaind very dedicated to helping with the upkeep of her pony’s care. 🙂
Here’s one of the sets she has instock Cotton Balls J #6

I’ll finish off this week’s chit chat with another contest.
This time, we’re giving away a facial cloth set created by our eldest daughter. Some of you have had correspondance with Alesia. Not only does she help out with the fabric cutting and make our facial cloth packages (I do the serging) , she’s also decided to help out with customer service. She’ll be 18 this summer and is ready to take on more responsibility. As a cloth pad user for the past almost 5 years, I feel she is well qualified to help with questions our customers may send in. If you receive a reply from Alesia, rest assured you’re in good hands and if she’s unable to answer your questions, she always hands the emails on over to me. 🙂
So be sure to enter our contest! Who couldn’t use these lovely beauties?

Retail value of this package is 14.95 but now you can try your chance at winning one free!
We’ll even pay the shipping!
These delicious little cloths are all made up of gorgeous hand dyed bamboo velour on one side.
The larger sizes have organic terry on the other side, for gently exfoliating your face while you cleanse.
The smallest size, our “cotton balls” are made up of three layers, two velour and an inner of organic cotton.

These full sets are everything you need to keep you feeling pampered and your face feeling well taken care of.
To enter the contest, simply leave a comment here on our blog.
If you would like more then one chance to win, spread the word and come back and leave another comment, sharing the link where you’ve spread the word. Why do we offer more chances to win? Because we know that the best advertising, is word of mouth advertising and we like to share the blessings with our wonderful customers. 🙂
That’s all for now!
We hope to see you at the shop Tuesday evening when everything goes ‘live’ at 8 pm EST, 5 pm PST.
